Congratulations to the Bread of Life, our first charity to receive funds!

 

At our meeting on July 5th, 2017, $9,000 was awarded to the Bread of Life by our members. 

​

​The Bread of Life Centre The Centre is a place for those in need of a meal, companionship and support. We serve over 38,000 guests per year through breakfast, lunch and our food recovery program. We are a local charity, money is raised locally, spent locally and we serve local people.

Currently, there is not a comprehensive list of charities in the Alberni area. One resource that you may find useful for searching local charities is:

During the charity nomination vetting process the organizing committee will speak with the nominated charity to ensure our members' funds will go into the Alberni area

Steps in Charity Nomination

 

  1. Only members can nominate a charity  

  2. Ensure charity is qualified (no religious or political organizations please)

  3. Complete below form

  4. The organizing committee will verify charity is qualified.

  5. The nominated charity will be added to the charity basket
